New beginnings and me being annoying

Hey there,

Happy New Year!

I hope you had a lovely holiday season and are not too down about the thought of getting back to reality. I’m really looking forward to 2016 because I do like a good old fashioned new beginning.

Lots of plans for this year and I’m raring to get cracking. Writing wise I’ll be submitting another book to the NWS in August, I’m hoping to attend the RNA conference again in July and I’m debating about taking some of the characters from Tapestry and putting them in a Christmas novella. I enjoyed my experiences publishing Tapestry so much that I’d like to do it again, but I’m still in two minds about whether this is the right time or the right project. I’ll update you as the year progresses. (Or please do weigh in below if you have a view. I’m thinking Gemma needs a bit of Christmas happiness…)

Anyway, the main reason I’m humming and hawing is I have a project up my sleeve that is writing related, but not in the way I’ve done it up till now. I’m not trying to be irritatingly coy about it, I just don’t have all my ducks in a row yet…

You: Well, shut up about it, Elle, until you do. How do you expect us to be interested in not even half a story?

Me: Um…

Well, in a nutshell, it has something to do with this.

You: Much better. *disappears to read someone else’s blog*

Me: Noooooooo, come back. I’ll shush now. Let’s talk about something concrete.

Hahahahahahahahahaha.

I’m in a weird mood. It must be mince pie withdrawal. Why don’t we skip to the end when I ask you about your plans for 2016?

You: No point. We left.
