Hey there,
Hope your day is going well so far.
Next Tuesday, 17 November, is World Prematurity Day. It aims to raise awareness of the number of premature births worldwide. Every year, 15 million babies are born early, that’s one baby every 29 minutes and, according to Bliss, the UK charity supporting babies born too soon, 1 million of these premature babies will not survive.
As you may already know, my guys were born 13 ½ weeks early. Hobs and I will always remember how lucky we are that our children survived, but we are equally aware that others are not nearly so fortunate. I’ll repost our story on Tuesday but, for now, I wanted to highlight that World Prematurity Day is coming.
One way to show support is by signing up to Bliss’ Thunderclap to spread the message via Facebook, Twitter or Tumblr. I’d love to think we’d helped a bit so, if you have a moment, would you mind popping over to see if you want to sign up? Bliss lists other ways to get involved too if you would like to.
Have a good weekend and I’ll see you again on Tuesday with my guys’ story.
Thank you for reading. :-)
